T.K. HERNÁNDEZ

T. K. Hernández is a journalist, photojournalist, and writer.

As a journalist, her work has been published in various online news media publications.

She is a member of the Society of Professional Journalists, Canadian Cuba Friendship Association, and ACES International Alliance of Editors.

Ms. Hernández has supported fundraising for hurricane disaster relief campaigns and is a member of the Canadian Network on Cuba.

She is also co-founder and editor of an online business news website focused on Cuba.

She graduated from Western University with a bachelor’s degree in European Literature, holds a Poynter-ACES certificate in editing and another in Economic Development from Oxford University.

Ms. Hernández is the author of three published books, “Imagine Istanbul,” and “Chance and Desire: Havana in Black & White,” and “The Cuba Interviews: Conversations on Foreign Investment and Economic Development,” (Palgrave Macmillan 2023).

Currently, Ms. Hernández is working on two books. One is a collaboration with other professors on a new book on Cuba. Her other book project focuses on the artists and cultural scene of Cuba.
