C.J. Frederick

I make my living as a technical writer crafting business stories about software and processes. In my free time, however, I like to explore creative writing with tales about the people and places I know best.

Raised on a small farm southwest of London, Ontario, I spent my summers and most of my time away from school riding my horse through fields and along trails, listening to the trees and imagining what life was like one hundred years in the past and creating stories about the buildings, animals, trees, and scenery that I encountered. For my first novel, I spent most of the pandemic lockdown researching and then writing about a mysterious tree growing near my childhood home and its connection to a long-dead WWI soldier.
