Jayn Reed

With over 25 years of critical care experience, I have honed my skills as a registered nurse, and now serve as a Care Coordinator at Ontario Health atHome. My journey began in the UK before emigrating to Canada in my youth. I trained as a nurse in Liverpool, England, and eventually made my home in London, Ontario, with my husband and two boys.

My short story was chosen by Emma Donohue and is set to be published in the London Writer’s Society Anthology in 2025. Outside of work and writing, I am an active participant in my book club and walking group, and enjoy solving puzzles and spending quality time with my family.

I am currently working on my debut novel, a coming-of-age story that deals with the challenges of aging out of the foster system amid the current homeless crisis.
